Eng. Químico formado pela UFPR. Em 1987, na Petrobras, especializou-se em Engenharia de Petróleo. Iniciou sua carreira como Eng. de Completação na Bacia do Recôncavo, especializando-se na técnica de fraturamento hidráulico em baixas permeabilidades . Em 1997 juntou-se ao grupo da Bacia de Campos para ajudar a implantar a incipiente técnica de frac-pack, que obteve grande sucesso, resultando numa indicação para o programa Distinguished Lecturer da SPE (2005-2006), e também ao Prêmio Nacional de Excelência Técnica da Indústria de O&G (2009) e posteriormente à premiação regional com o Latin America and Caribbean Production and Operations Award (2010). Participou da implantação de dezenas de inovações tecnológicas na área de Estimulação, Contenção de Areia e Garantia de Escoamento, publicadas em diversos artigos internacionais, o que lhe rendeu o reconhecimento internacional de Distinguished Member da SPE, em 2012.Em 2011, foi o primeiro gerente do recém criado ESCA na Petrobras, gerência responsável pela estimulação, controle de areia, tratamentos químicos e garantia de escoamento dos poços marítimos de toda a costa brasileira. Desde 2016 é consultor especialista da ISO/TC-67/SC-3/WG-3 (Well and Treatment Fluids). Em 2013 juntou-se à Enauta, onde é Engenheiro Master de Completação.

Carlos José do Nascimento Travassos has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and 37 years of experience in the market, of which 4 years at Arsenal of the Navy in Rio de Janeiro, working in shipbuilding, and 33 years at Petrobras, having occupied several leadership positions with passages in the Executive Boards of Exploration and Production and Production Development, acting in Brazil and abroad, both in operational and managerial positions. He worked in the implementation of structuring programs in the areas of engineering, contracting, construction, commissioning and pre-operation, and was responsible for the delivery of Several Units and for the design of new FPSOs focused on reducing emissions of greenhouse gases. In the downstream segment, he was responsible for the implementation of projects in the main refineries in the country, working in the areas of processing and natural gas, hydrotreatment units, refinery expansions and revamps. As Deepwater Executive Manager (AGP), he was responsible for the management of the Campos Basin and Espírito Santo units, along with the complementary development of the fields in these units. He currently holds the position of Executive Manager of Surface Systems, Refining, Gas and Energy (SRGE), the area responsible for engineering projects and the implementation of major capital investment works in the areas of Exploration and Production, Refining, Gas, Energy and Logistics.

Eduardo Zacaron is a Mechanical Engineer and holds a postgraduate degree in Project Management. He has been working at Petrobras since 2007 where he specialized in Subsea Equipment Engineering. Since 2014, he has been involved in decommissioning projects and is currently General Manager of this area at Petrobras. He also holds the position of Vice Chair of the Decommissioning Committee of the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP).

Marcelo was appointed as SLB Brazil Technology Director in Jun/22. Previously, he was Midstream and Surface Regional Sales Manager with the portfolio responsibility of Process Plants, Production Chemistries, Valves and Production Surface Systems.
During his 22 years of experience in the O&G industries, he held different positions on Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Project Management and Sales.
His professional experience ranges from Subsea to Topside and in the new position increasing to Reservoir and Wells.
He is SPE Brazil Technology Director for 2023-24 promoting industry events in benefit for the entire community.
Marcelo holds a Mechanical Engineering Bachelor from UFRJ (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro) and two MBAs in Economy with UFRJ and in O&G Industry with FGV (Fundação Getulio Vargas)

Decommissioning Wells Engineer, Trident Energy (2023-actual), participating of the engineering team to end the cycle of the first maritime perforated wells in our country.

Sérgio Cavalcante is currently Senior Technical Advisor on Reservoir Engineering at Petrobras in Rio de Janeiro. His primary skills include reservoir engineering and numerical simulation of carbonate reservoirs, EOR, and reservoir production strategy. Sergio holds a Ph.D in Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering.He’s been active with SPE since 2004 and currently is Events Officer at SPE Brazil.

He’s been active with SPE since 1996 and is currently involved with SPE Brazil (International Relations Officer) and SPE International (P&ATS Officer).

Francesco Santoro, has 50 years of experience in the Oil Industry including 25 years in technical and management positions with Petrobras and 12 years working as the Executive Director/Country Manager for foreign companies, providers of services and equipment for the Oil & Gas industry, including Oceaneering Brasil, Global Industries Brasil and Intec Engineering do Brasil. He also performed consulting activities for the Brazilian Petroleum Agency (ANP), the Brazilian Ministry of Planning, several subsea equipment manufacturers, EPCI projects contractors and engineering companies. He was Executive Manager of Production Sharing Contracts with the Pre Sal Petróleo – PPSA. He has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the Catholic University of Petropolis and an Equipment Engineering post grad with Petrobras. Francesco is currently working as the commercial Director of GranIHC.

He joined Petrobras in 1987, where he acted offshore as OIM (Offshore Installation Manager); after that, had worked in many Campos Basin management positions as Planning & Marketing, Asset Manager, Technical Support, and Human Resources. Then moved to Petrobras’ central office to work as Facilities General Manager and now is working in Campos Basin partnerships as Bijupira Salema Decommissioning Project with Shell.

Possui 32 anos de experiência no ramo de Petróleo e Gás, tendo trabalhado tanto em onshore (BA, SE e RN/CE) como em offshore, principalmente nas áreas de estimulação, cimentação, flexitubo, nitrogênio, intervenção de poços e condicionamento de dutos. Já tendo publicado 9 artigos técnicos no SPE/IBP/IADC/BoletimTécnico da PBR/”Journal of Energy Resources Technology” nas áreas de Controle de Areia, Estimulação, Gerenciamento de Água e Abandono de Poços. Atua ainda como voluntário do SPE Seção Brasil, exercendo a função de Diretor. Na Halliburton exerceu diversos cargos como de engenheiro de campo, coordenador de serviços, gerente de operações e gerente de tecnologia para o Brasil. Atualmente exerce o cargo de Líder de soluções para a área de Completação e Intervenção em Poços e Gerente de Vendas Técnicas para “Production Solutions”.

Daniel Maia Vieira é pós-graduado em Controle Externo da Regulação pelo Instituto Serzedello Corrêa do Tribunal de Contas da União, bacharel em Relações Internacionais pela Universidade de Brasília, bacharel em Direito pelo Centro Universitário IESB (2022). Profissionalmente, ocupou o cargo de Analista de Finanças e Controle da Controladoria-Geral da União entre 2006 e 2008. Desde 2008 é Auditor Federal de Controle Externo do Tribunal de Contas da União, onde atuou como assessor, diretor e secretário nas áreas de desestatização e regulação nas áreas de infraestrutura de energia elétrica, petróleo, gás natural e biocombustíveis, além de ter assessorado Presidente e Ministros do TCU. Desde abril de 2022 ocupa o cargo de Diretor da Agência Nacional de Petróleo Gás Natural e Biocombustíveis – ANP.

Como representante da FIRJAN é membro de diversos fóruns e conselhos relacionados ao mercado de Petróleo, Gás Natural e Indústria Naval. Participa da elaboração de diversos documentos de posicionamento e conteúdo para este mercado e atua como facilitadora nas negociação de atendimento, pela FIRJAN, às demandas das empresas locais e nacionais por soluções tecnológicas e educacionais. Alastair Bisset is the Head of Decommissioning for the North Sea Transition Authority, having joined them in April of this year.
He is a Mechanical, chartered engineer by background, having studied at Aberdeen University before starting his career in oil and gas.
Alastair has over 16 years’ experience in the energy industry, working for Chevron then Ithaca Energy on their operated assets offshore in the UKCS.
His roles there included subsea engineering, project assurance and turnaround management.
Most recently he was head of asset integrity at Ithaca, responsible for the late-life integrity management of all their North Sea installations.
Alastair holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Aberdeen.

Anne-Lise Abrahamsen Søyland is currently in charge of regulations and operational management in Offshore Norge, working with operators and suppliers on the Norwegian Continental Shelf on environmental regulations, decommissioning, diving and subsea assets.
Anne-Lise has over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with legal counselling, regulatory development, leading contract negotiations, strategy work, project management, digitalisation, change management, M&A, leading gas sales tenders, analysis and studies, and infrastructure projects.
She holds a Master’s degree in Law and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Craig Nicol is with Net Zero Technology Centre in Aberdeen.
With a strong background in EPC Oil Service Company project management roles, including the Engineering Team Lead role with Aker Solutions on the CNR Murchison Decommissioning Contract, Craig is vocal in his passion for innovation and knowledge sharing within the energy industry’s community.
Craig headed up all development activities for Veolia Environmental Services, providing onshore disposal services to the offshore decommissioning market across 4 locations throughout the UK and Norway.
His current role is leading the delivery of Net Zero Technology Centre’s “Aberdeen City Region Deal” (ACRD) portfolio.
The ACRD portfolio is a £170 million investment across a 10 year period that spans across the whole energy sector, developing and deploying new technologies within Oil and Gas operations and Decommissioning through to renewable sectors including Wind, Solar and Geothermal.
We aim to inspire, enable and accelerate the development and deployment of technology to enable an affordable net zero energy industry.
Craig currently is Honorary Research Fellow with the University of Aberdeen School of Engineering.

Michael Bishop is currently working as a decommissioning advisor for OKEA and Chairman of the Offshore Norge specialist network for Decommissioning.
He has worked for 40 years in Oil and Gas industry where the focus during the last ten years has been on Decommissioning. During earlier years his role was Project Manager/Project Controls Manager in many types of projects.
While working for Repsol Michael was their representative in Offshore Norge (NOROG) Decommissioning Forum and was chairman of this for several years. During the same period he was also involved with IOGP Decom forums as well as being Co-Chairman of the Europe/Mediterranean decommissioning network.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree, in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham.

Based in Rio de Janeiro, Sam manages the vessel Siem Helix 1 and leads the Project Team responsible for planning and executing integrated well intervention campaigns in Brazil, under the Subsea Services Alliance (Helix and SLB). He has 15 years of international experience in the well intervention space, with roles in engineering, capital build projects and operations management. Originally from the UK, Sam holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University and an MBA from Imperial College London.

Shozey Jafferi leads the Energy Transition team at the Department for Business and Trade. The team contributes to the delivery of an orderly transition to net-zero by supporting supply-chain capacity building and strengthening domestic exportable capability. Shozey has held diplomatic postings in Hong Kong (2000/01) and Kazakhstan (2003/07), and between 2007 and 2015, held senior management positions in the private sector based in Central Asia and Southeast Asia. He returned to government service to lead the development of the UK Decommissioning Export Strategy, before taking up his current role.

Nathan Biddle is a co-founder, shareholder, and Director of Origem Energia S.A., a company created in 2016 by three founders whom believe in more innovative and efficient energy solutions. As a technical professional with significant experience in the sector, he has been connecting Origem assets to international technologies and knowledge to develop projects such as; gas storage, carbon capture and storage, and LNG in addition to revitalizing onshore oil and gas fields.
Nathan, an American citizen residing in Brazil for more than 15 years, has contributed to and lead important projects in the states of Bahia, Ceará, Espírito Santo, Maranhão, Rio de Janeiro, Alagoas, and Sergipe. He is a well-known leader within the Brazilian oil and gas industry with additional experience on projects in the United States, Angola, Mexico and the United Kingdom. Since 2004, he has held relevant roles within major companies in onshore and offshore projects. Before joining Origem in 2020, he was General Director of Premier Oil do Brasil Petróleo e Gás Ltda., with responsibilities for overall management of Exploration Projects in the Ceará Basin and new business development in Brazil.
From 2020-21, Nathan was elected as a Board Member of ABEP, having previously held the role of Executive Director of ABEP/IBP. He has actively promoted and participated in Industry initiatives for the growth and diversification of the Brazilian O&G Industry. In addition to his role as Executive Director, he led the Operational Technical Committee within ABEP as either Coordinator or Vice-Coordinator from 2016-2018. His current focus with industry initiatives is to drive regulations to improve the diversity and competitiveness of the Brazilian market for exploration and development plays in shallow water and onshore. In his role as Director of ABEP, he was a key player in pushing forward recent abandonment, decommissioning, financial guarantee and cessation of asset regulations that have assisted in generating investments from small and mid-cap independents in Brazil.
Nathan graduated with honors from the Colorado School of Mines where he received a BSc Degree in Petroleum Engineering and also holds an MBA from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro COPPEAD Business School. He was born and raised in Sedona, Arizona and now happily resides in Rio de Janeiro with his family.

Currently a Vice President, New Value Chains, MMP at Equinor, Claudia joined the company in January 2018 to develop gas marketing opportunities to enable the monetization of Equinor’s upstream assets in Brazil. With a career spanning 27 years as an experienced negotiator of complex energy joint ventures, Claudia has a solid understanding of the entire energy value chain, with substantial experience in upstream E&P projects, oil, gas and power marketing, terminal storage and loading operations, and powerplant development. Prior to joining Equinor, Claudia has served as Business Division Manager at Qatargas’ Ras Laffan Terminal Operations in Doha, served Commercial Director at El Paso Brasil, where she spent 14 years of her career, represented El Paso as a TBG Board member, served as Director at Enron South America negotiating power trading transactions, and Manager of Project Finance at EnergyWorks. Claudia has an MBA from Thunderbird, Arizona, and a BA from Eckerd College, Florida.

A partir de 2016 passou a atuar na atividade de descomissionamento contribuindo para sua estruturação e prestando consultoria aos projetos com foco em plataformas de produção offshore.

Trabalha na Petrobras há 22 anos, tendo exercido diversas funções técnicas e gerenciais nas área de P&D, Engenharia de Reservatórios e Responsabilidade Social. É também Diretora de Sustentabilidade e Transição energética da SPE Brasil.

Currently CEO of the Brazilian Petroleum & Gas Institute (IBP), the main industry association in Brazil, Roberto Ardenghy is a former Brazilian diplomat with 30+ years of experience in government relations, infrastructure, energy, sustainability, and oil & gas, both in private and public sectors. Mr. Ardenghy is a reference in energy discussions in Brasil and abroad and he is a frequent speaker in international events related to energy transition, oil & gas and investment opportunities in Brazil, such as RIO OIL & GAS 2016/2017/2022, ADIPEC 2020, OTC 2015/2017/2021/2023, GASTECH 2022, STS Forum (Japan) 2022, CERAWEEK 2023 and Baker Hughes Annual Meeting (Firenze) 2023. On January 2019 he joined PETROBRAS as Chief of Staff of the CEO. He was later appointed Chief Executive (Board Member) in charge of Institutional & Sustainability areas, with responsibilities to oversee climate change, communications, social performance and government affairs. He worked as a diplomat at different Brazilian Embassies and Consulates abroad (Washington DC, Buenos Aires, Houston and New York). He also held senior positions in Brazil’s federal government in Brasilia. From 2002 to 2007, he worked at the National Petroleum Agency ANP (oil regulator), with different responsibilities, including Chief of Staff, President of the Ethics Commission and Supply and Biofuels Superintendent. From 2007 to 2111 he took the position of Chief Corporate Affairs at BG Group in Brazil, an international oil company based in Rio de Janeiro. At that time he was professor of International Law at Candido Mendes University, and at the post-graduation program of COPPE – Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ. Ardenghy is board member of the Brazil/American Chambers of Commerce in Rio de Janeiro, Houston and New York. He graduated in law at the Federal University of Santa Maria and earned a master degree in diplomacy and international relations at Rio Branco Institute. He also also has a post-graduate degrees in petroleum and natural gas by Federal University of Rio de Janeiro/COPPE. In 2014 Mr. Ardenghy wrote a thesis for the Advance Studies Program at the Brazilian Diplomatic Academy about Oil & Gas in Brazil and the Impact in the country’s Foreign Policy. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish. He is married with two children.

Marcio has executive career in the energy sector, oil, gas, and biofuels. Over the course of 36 years, from 1983 to 2019, he served in several executive positions in E&P at Petrobras. He was Secretary for Economic Development of state of Espírito Santo, from 2010 to 2012. He was also Secretary of Oil, Gas, and Biofuels at MME from 2016 to 2019. He is currently Vice President of ONIP, president of ABPIP and president of the Energy Platform, an innovative integrating energy company in Brazil.
